WIP – The rift, Part 1
I’m starting a new painting again. It is a landscape this time, and it is supposed to be of a place that exist in the LARPing world where I organize LARPs for children every month.
Finished – The Deepest Road
My Art Improvement over the Years
I have added the year 2014 to my image of improvements over the years. I show four paintings/drawings from each year since 2003, and you can see my progress and improvements.
Over the last years I don’t think I have made any leaps but I can still see small improvements. What do you think?
This Road Goes Deep – Part 2
This day’s progress of my current painting. I am working on contrast and starting to clean up and detail the trees.
This Road Goes Deep – Part 1
I just started the second painting that is going to be hanging in my kitchen. It will be coupled with “Cabin Deep in the Woods”.
As usual with these landscapes I start with a value sketch, so that I can be sure the darks and lights are contrasting enough and in the right places.
After that I added a color layer in Photoshop, with the first suggestion of the color scheme.
Cabin Deep in the Woods, finished
I wanted a couple of paintings for my kitchen, and decided to do a pair with the same color palette. This is the first one. I wanted a creepy kind of vibe with blue and green colors.
Made in Adobe Photoshop CS5 with a Wacom Intous 4.
A cabin in the woods
I am working on a new painting that is going to be one in a set of two. They are going to have the same colorscheme and will be hung in my kitchen. This one is well on its way, even though a lot of it is unfinished.
Final Fixes of a Painting
I just posted my newest painting, and I thought you all might be interested in the final fixes I did after I first thought I was finished.
I let it sit for a while, and asked for a critique from a friend. After that I fixed the things I noticed and what she noticed, and lastly I put on three adjustment layers for Color balance, Vibrance and Levels to adjust colors and values.

Timelapse of Shadow, Light and Heat
I created a timelapse video of my painting Shadow, Light and Heat, and here it is. I hope that it can help some of you understand my painting process.
Finished – Shadow, Light and Heat
Shadow, Light and Heat
I am always fascinated by the contrast between lights and shadow. In this painting they meet, and heat is created.
Painted by me in Adobe Photoshop CS6 with a Wacom Intous 4.
I am compiling a video of how this was painted, hopefully it will work out okay and I can post it later this week.
