Northern Home – Finished Painting
I wanted to paint stars again. And as the winter didn’t have much snow where I live this year I wanted to pay tribute to really cold, snowy winters in the north. This is the result.
WIP – The Rift, Part 4
I finally had the time to work on this landscape painting again. It was time to add the city, some light details and make adjustments to colors and contrast. I am thinking this painting is almost finished, so next week I will post the result along with a timelaps video of the process.
WIP – The Rift, Part 3
I decided to change the perspective a bit, to make this painting more intense. I have worked on that and on the floating rocks today. Next step is to start putting in the city again.
WIP – The rift, Part 2
Part 2, started coloring, and added details to the mountains and the ground. Next will be the waterfalls and adding in the city again. I got a very good critique regarding this painting, and one of the points were that the city weren’t realistic, so I have gathered a lot of reference of cities and castles.
WIP – The rift, Part 1
I’m starting a new painting again. It is a landscape this time, and it is supposed to be of a place that exist in the LARPing world where I organize LARPs for children every month.
Finished – The Deepest Road
My Art Improvement over the Years
I have added the year 2014 to my image of improvements over the years. I show four paintings/drawings from each year since 2003, and you can see my progress and improvements.
Over the last years I don’t think I have made any leaps but I can still see small improvements. What do you think?
This Road Goes Deep – Part 2
This day’s progress of my current painting. I am working on contrast and starting to clean up and detail the trees.
This Road Goes Deep – Part 1
I just started the second painting that is going to be hanging in my kitchen. It will be coupled with “Cabin Deep in the Woods”.
As usual with these landscapes I start with a value sketch, so that I can be sure the darks and lights are contrasting enough and in the right places.
After that I added a color layer in Photoshop, with the first suggestion of the color scheme.
